Use it
- Download the latest version and run it
- Read how to get started get started and read the manual
- Report problems in our bug tracker
- Check the Faq and mailarchives for common issues
- Join the oisf-users mailinglist to ask questions, participate in discussions
Improve it
- Get the latest development version, run it and report how it works
- Report missing documentation or doc errors in our doc tracker
- Help improve the documentation on our wiki
- Join the oisf-devel mailinglist to participate in discussions
- Package Suricata for your favorite distro
- Help others solve their problems at irc and mailinglist
- For inspiration on what to do check our Community Tasks
- Check the developers page on the wiki
- Fork it from our github repo
Spread the word
- Rate the project on freecode.com / freshmeat.net, Ohloh
- Try to convince your favorite distro to include Suricata
- Tell your friends, collegues, relatives, etc
- Describe your installation(s) on the wiki to show the power of Suricata
Fund it
- Become a consortium member to support the development of the project
- Sponsor meetings, travel cost for the OISF team
- Donations to OISF are tax deductible as OISF has a 501(c)(3) non-profit status
